The School of the Art Institute of Chicago’s Department of Exhibitions and Exhibition Studies seeks a Gallery Preparator to handle, install, maintain, and de‑install exhibitions. You will relocate artwork and production/display elements within galleries and storage, and prep works for shipping to lenders or other museums.
You will also manage student workers and coordinate with senior staff on schedules, artist installations, signage, lighting, and site operations during runs of exhibitions.
