CNC Field Service Engineer

We are seeking a qualified individual to install, maintain, and troubleshoot CNC machines in an OEM environment. This is an on-site position; the employee is expected to report to the office when not traveling. Some international travel is required (Canada & Mexico). Reports to the Customer Support Manager.

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair CNC machines (experience with Citizen and Miyano equipment preferred)
• Replace components such as ball screws, motors, and cartridge spindles
• Utilize ladder logic and diagnostic functions across various control systems
• Provide phone-based technical support for troubleshooting on a regular basis
• Align and adjust tooling
• Align and interface bar feed units
• Perform first-part runoffs to ensure machine acceptance and proper operation
• Travel to customer sites for repair and/or troubleshooting as needed

Qualifications

• Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% (domestic and occasional international travel, including Canada and Mexico)
• 3-6 years of experience in CNC machine tooling
• 1-4 years of Swiss machining experience preferred
• Strong electrical, mechanical, and automation experience required
• Proficiency in geometry and machining principles
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, including reading ladder diagrams and control diagnostics
• Ability to interact professionally with customers both in person and over the phone
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative
• Valid driver's license and passport required
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
