Industrial Electrical Technician
- Up to $39/hr DOE!

Integrity Trade Services is hiring an Industrial Electrical Technician for our food manufacturing client to start immediately at up to $39/hr DOE!

Responsibilities:

The Industrial Electrical Technician is responsible for maintaining the uptime, safety, and performance of all electrical systems and equipment in our food manufacturing facility. This role focuses on installing, servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical components to support uninterrupted, high-quality production.

Installation and maintenance
  • Install, service, and repair electrical infrastructure, including wiring, conduit, panels, motors, and control systems.
  • Set up and configure electrical components for new and existing production lines in accordance with all safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform scheduled inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems to detect and correct issues before they impact operations.
Troubleshooting and repair
  • Identify and diagnose electrical problems using advanced diagnostic and test equipment.
  • Repair or replace defective components such as wiring, switches, relays, and circuit breakers to restore proper operation.
  • Partner with the broader maintenance team to resolve complex electrical problems and develop long-term corrective actions.
Control systems and automation
  • Program, adjust, and maintain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) that control automated equipment and processes.
  • Troubleshoot and repair PLCs, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and Human–Machine Interfaces (HMIs).
  • Fine-tune control systems to improve line efficiency, throughput, and product quality.
Documentation and compliance
  • Keep detailed, accurate records of maintenance work, including work orders, inspections, and parts usage.
  • Ensure all electrical activities meet National Electrical Code (NEC), OSHA, and other applicable regulatory and industry standards.
  • Contribute to the creation and upkeep of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for electrical maintenance activities.
Safety and training
  • Follow all safety rules and consistently use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Perform safety checks and risk assessments to identify, control, and minimize electrical hazards.
  • Support and train production and maintenance personnel on safe operation and basic troubleshooting of electrical equipment.
Technical Skills
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
  • Solid understanding of electrical systems, including AC/DC motors, control circuits, and power distribution.
  • Hands-on experience programming, troubleshooting, and repairing PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of VFDs, HMIs, and related automation hardware.
  • Proficient in the use of electrical test instruments such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and insulation testers.

Schedule/Shift Details:
  • 1st Shift: Monday – Friday, rotating Saturdays | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
  • 2nd

    Shift: Monday – Friday, rotating Saturdays | 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
    • Overtime as needed
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; an Associate’s degree in Electrical Technology or a closely related discipline is preferred.
  • Completion of an accredited electrical apprenticeship or formal technical training program.
  • At least 5 years of experience as an Industrial Electrical Technician, ideally within a food manufacturing setting.
Physical Demands
  • Frequent movement:
    Regularly moves throughout the facility to inspect equipment, oversee maintenance work, and observe operating conditions, including walking, standing, and occasionally climbing ladders or stairs.
  • Manual dexterity:
    Routinely uses hands and fingers to handle, operate, and feel tools and equipment, including turning fasteners, operating machinery, and working with small parts.
  • Lifting and carrying:
    Periodically lifts and transports items up to 50 pounds, such as tools, components, and materials required for maintenance tasks.
