United Airlines is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician / Building Engineer to keep our airport and support facilities operating safely and efficiently. In this on-site role, you'll perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems, troubleshoot equipment issues, and respond quickly to work orders to support 24/7 airline operations. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams in a safety-first, inclusive culture, maintain accurate maintenance records, support compliance with codes and regulations, and help ensure a reliable environment for employees and customers across United's global network.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on building systems, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing in airport and support facilities
  • Respond to work orders and troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime and ensure operational reliability
  • Inspect, test, and adjust building systems to meet safety, regulatory, and company standards
  • Coordinate with operations and airport teams to schedule repairs with minimal disruption
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections, and repairs in digital systems
  • Assist with minor construction, installations, and facility upgrades as needed
  • Monitor building automation systems and report or correct irregularities
  • Support emergency response for facility-related incidents and after-hours issues
