PAY RANGE: $18.11 - $21.74

DEPARTMENT VISION
To assist in accomplishing the mission of The Salvation Army through the coordination of all mission, corps and social services within the City of Chicago.
JOB SUMMARY
Provide emotional support to seniors 60 years and older in crisis or in at-risk situations. Provide services to stabilize the senior through referrals and resources. Assist seniors with identifying services to maintain independent living.

RELATIONSHIPS
This position reports to the Senior & In-Home Services Program Manager.
Receives referrals from the City of Chicago Department of Family Support Services (DFSS)
Accepts referrals daily from city of Chicago DFSS CAS (Case Advocacy and Support) team and will consult with the team for support when in the field. Administrative supervision is provided by the Program Manager of Senior & In-Home Support Services based upon assigned duties.
In contacts related to this position's duties this individual acts as a representative of The Salvation Army and its mission.
PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS
This individual will be evaluated on how effectively the outcomes of this position are achieved, as well as the timeliness, accuracy and completeness of accomplishing assigned goals.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of a BA or BS with a MA, MS or MSW preferred.
- Experience with working with seniors and families.
- Driver's license, MVR clearance and a working, appropriately insured automobile.
