This role serves a dual function: providing direct, people-centered case management and supportive services to PAs and program graduates, while bearing primary responsibility for program reporting, data quality, grant compliance, and cross-functional program support.
This position works in close partnership with the Director of Employment Training and the broader ET team.
- Provides holistic case management support to current Production Assistants and program graduates, including regular 1:1 meetings to identify barriers and advance participant-driven goals
- Identifies and facilitates ancillary referrals for health, education, counseling, housing, and other wrap-around services
- Develops and maintains community referral partnerships; collaborates with the Director of ET on organizational partnerships and memoranda of understanding
- Supports pre-employment readiness and post-placement retention counseling in partnership with the ET Manager
- Serves as lead for case noting across ET staff; provides guidance and quality review of case documentation by colleagues, including those without formal social work backgrounds
- Participates in weekly ET case management meetings with the team and site managers
- Provides mentorship and peer support to program Graduate mentors
- Assists with graduate re-engagement, outreach, Graduate Advisory Council coordination, and graduate events as needed
- Leads data collection, entry, maintenance, and quality assurance for all ET program metrics; ensures data is clean, complete, and analysis-ready at all times
- Authors program reports, case studies, and participant assessments for internal leadership, funders, and government contracts
- Supports grant compliance activities, including tracking deliverables, documenting program fidelity, and coordinating timely submission of required materials
- Maintains and organizes participant files in accordance with program requirements and confidentiality standards
- Assists in compiling outcome data, success stories, and media assets (photos, videos, testimonials) for development and communications purposes
- Assists in the coordination and logistics of ET program events, including employer engagement and job fairs
- Supports board reporting and employer cultivation activities as requested by the Director of ET
- Assists with PA resume preparation, cover letter drafting, mock interviews, and individualized job search support
- Participates in the PA application review process, interviews, and hiring decisions alongside the ET team
- Assists with recruitment by facilitating information sessions and community outreach
- Supports job readiness curriculum facilitation and development/revision as needed
- Provides general office and program operations support as assigned
- As needed, participates in Growing Home open houses and community events, which may occasionally include evening or weekend hours
- MSW required; candidates actively pursuing an MSW with relevant experience will be considered
- Demonstrated commitment to racial equity, social justice, and economic inclusion, with prior experience working alongside people experiencing poverty, housing instability, or other systemic barriers
- Comfort and competence engaging directly with marginalized populations in an authentic, trauma-informed, and non-judgmental manner
- Familiarity with Chicago-area social service resources and referral systems
- Strong written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to produce clear, accurate reports, case notes, and grant-related documentation
- Strong verbal communication skills; ability to engage, motivate, and build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including participants, partners, employers, and funders
- High attention to detail and comfort with data management and reporting systems
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team that includes individuals with varied professional, educational, and lived-experience backgrounds
- Some local travel for meetings and site visits is required
- Must be able to navigate public transportation throughout the greater Chicago area, or possess a valid driver's license
