Position Overview
The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine is seeking a full‑time psychologist on the non‑tenure Clinician-Educator track at the rank of Instructor, Assistant, or Associate Professor. The role provides comprehensive psychological assessment and support to organ transplant candidates, recipients, and living donors, and contributes to teaching and mentorship.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct pre‑ and post‑transplant psychosocial evaluations
- Provide individual counseling and behavioral health interventions
- Assess capacity, adherence risk, and psychosocial contraindications
- Support patients, families, and donors through the transplant process
- Collaborate with physicians, social workers, and allied health staff
- Document findings and contribute to transplant selection meetings
- Engage in scholarly activity consistent with faculty expectations
- Teach and supervise medical students, residents, fellows, and psychology trainees as applicable
- PhD or PsyD from an APA‑accredited clinical psychology program or equivalent
- Completed an APA‑approved internship
- Licensed or license‑eligible as a Clinical Psychologist in Illinois
- Well‑developed competencies to work with diverse patients and communities
- Willingness to provide care both in‑person and via telehealth
Base salary range: $113,303 – $135,433. Pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and market considerations.
