We are currently seeking a dedicated and personable Community Assistant to join our team at Varsity Campus, a thriving residential community accommodating students from various educational institutes. In this role, you will be responsible for promoting a warm and inclusive living environment, cultivating a sense of community, and ensuring the overall satisfaction of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:1. Resident Support:
Establish positive rapport with residents and serve as a point of contact for addressing their concerns, inquiries, and requests promptly and effectively. Offer guidance and resources pertaining to campus policies, procedures, and services.
2. Community Building:
Develop and execute engaging and inclusive community-building activities and programs aimed at fostering a sense of belonging and promoting positive interactions among residents. Encourage participation and collaboration through social events, workshops, and initiatives
3. Administrative Duties:
Assist with administrative tasks such as maintaining resident records, managing maintenance requests, updating community bulletin boards, and maintaining accurate occupancy reports. Coordinate and help conduct regular property inspections.
4. Emergency Preparedness:
Familiarize residents with emergency procedures, protocols, and resources available on campus. Act as a liaison between residents and the management team during any emergencies, ensuring prompt communication and efficient response.
5. Campus Promotion:
Collaborate with the marketing team to showcase the unique features and amenities of Varsity Campus to potential students. Participate in campus tours and open house events to highlight the benefits of living within our community.
6. Amenity Maintenance:
Oversee the use and upkeep of common areas, amenities, and facilities. Ensure these areas are clean, well-maintained, and accessible to all residents. Report any maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel promptly.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; current college student.
- Previous experience in customer service, student affairs, or residential life is an advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as required.
- Familiarity with student housing environments, campus resources, and policies is desirable.
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suiteis a plus.
