We are now hiring full‑time Youth Prevention Coordinators to join our North Center & Southeast office.

Salary
  • Average starting salary ranges from $46,000 to $50,000 annually, depending on skill and experience.
Essential Job Functions
  • Coordinate the implementation and support for programming.
  • Ensure the program meets its programmatic, evaluation, and community‑building goals.
  • Establish relationships with parents, youth and other community stakeholders in the program service area.
  • Negotiate agreements with agencies and individuals who provide services, securing necessary approvals.
  • Plan and recommend high‑quality program activities aligned with the mission, vision, and learning objectives.
  • Maintain program requirements, records, and monitoring of policies and procedures in partnership with programs, families, agencies, and funders.
  • Facilitate Youth Prevention Education in school and community settings and ensure fidelity to evidence‑based curricula.
  • Lead Youth Advisory Committee Meetings and conduct presentations or facilitate meetings.
  • Provide education on substance misuse, substance use disorders, and prevention strategies.
  • Participate in ongoing staff development and training.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of current substance‑use trends and best practices for prevention and intervention.
  • Identify resources and establish a referral system within community agencies.
  • Initiate outreach and education with community groups addressing unmet and special needs.
  • Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly statistics, narratives, and activity reports.
  • Maintain expenditures within budget and make program purchases as needed.
  • Work effectively with diverse staff and service populations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities
  • Passion for working with youth and promoting community engagement.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings or some weekends.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Three years of combined work/volunteer/internship experience in program development or program management, and working with children in an educational, activity, or social service program.
  • Bilingual in Spanish highly preferred.
  • Preferred:
    Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field from an accredited college or university.
Additional Requirements
  • Satisfactorily pass all screenings and criminal background checks.
Transportation/Travel Requirements
  • Driving for work preferred with a personally owned vehicle. Travel between sites required.
Physical Demands
  • Requires sustained sitting and standing, frequent talking, hearing, using hands and fingers to handle objects, and occasional standing, bending, stretching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching. Requires close visual acuity for preparing, analyzing data, and operating a computer terminal.
