JOB SUMMARY Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Recovery Coach is responsible for the ongoing development of recovery plans of action, accessing community resources, monitoring clinical engagement of treatment and ensuring recovery activities and responsibilities are completed by participants.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES Responsible for the maintenance of the physical plant.
Responsible for searching and locating community and recovery resources for all participants.
Assists in the ongoing development of recovery plans of action.
Responsible for monitoring the engagement of the clinical treatment of the participant.
Conducts house inspections and behavioral conduct of all participants.
Collaborate with the other Coaches and the Team Leader for developing house activities.
Assures that all policies and rules are followed and maintained.
Periodically conducts life skills and recovery meetings based on qualifications.
Actively documents, utilizing spreadsheets and service documentation.
Provides contingency management planning and utilization.
Reviews weekly recovery activities, plans, and goals and makes recommendations.
Attends and participates in assigned meetings.
Participates in team meetings, agency meetings and agency fundraising efforts.
Creates and disseminates communication for participants.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES Good oral and written communication skills.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and training.
Willingness to work in the community and in the office.
Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Flexibility to adapt to schedules and workload to the needs and demands of the program.
Possession of a valid Illinois motor vehicle operator’s license and willingness to use personal vehicle in the course of employment.
HAS requires all staff to work on site.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE High School diploma or equivalent (GED or HS Equivalency) required.
At least eighteen (18) years old.
A minimum of two (2) years sustained sobriety, preferred.
Must have NCRS Certification or obtain within 1 year from date of hire.
Valid Food Sanitation Certification – obtained within six months to one year from date of employment is preferred.
CADC certification is preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures;
transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
