Schedule: 1:00 p – 6:00 p, Monday - Friday (subject to change based on organizational needs)
Within centers/sites and external locations, Youth Worker Associate coordinates and implements out-of-school time youth development activities. Working under the general direction of a supervisor, the associate plans and delivers daily lessons and activities for assigned after-school groups within CYC’s program framework.
Responsibilities- Recruit, enroll, and intake assigned group members; conduct canvassing and other recruitment activities; assist in developing and implementing community relations strategies.
- Maintain accurate recordkeeping and reporting systems, consistent with agency standards; track and record group members’ progress per CYC’s outcomes matrix and ETO database procedures.
- Facilitate one or more School‑age and/or Teen Groups; develop and implement weekly lesson plans using CYC’s P21 curriculum model; ensure a safe and appropriate group environment; prepare designated spaces and materials before activities; meet required program component hours; monitor individual member goal progress.
- Assist with center and agency program evaluation activities, including periodic supervision, staff meetings, peer reviews, satisfaction surveys, and quality improvement teams; implement recommendations for improvements as required.
- Drive and/or transport children and youth on agency business.
- Assist with parent and family involvement; maintain consistent communication with parents regarding youth progress; help develop parent and family activities as assigned and by agency standards.

- Associate degree or equivalent in Youth Development or related field, with a minimum of six semester hours in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation, Camping, or a related field.
- Associate degree equivalency: 30+ semester hours of college credit plus two years of experience in youth development or a related field (with at least six years of credit in a related field).
- Or 6–30 semester hours of college credit plus three years of experience in youth development or a related field (with at least six hours of credit in a related field).
- Advancing Youth Development Certificate (preferred), one year of related work experience, demonstrated ability to work effectively with children, experience with kindergarten‑2nd‑grade students, creativity to teach science, music, arts & crafts, strong verbal and written communication skills, and computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel, Access, etc.).
$18 per hour
