Position: Housing and Employment Coordinator

Above and Beyond Family Recovery Center Housing and Employment Coordinator

Department: Operations

Reports To: Director of Housing

Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

The purpose of this position is to assist Above and Beyond’s clients in becoming sustainably housed and employed. Under the direct supervision of the Director of Housing & Employment and direction of the Director of Operations, a Housing and Employment Coordinator will create case management service plans for clients, assessing their needs and goals.

The ideal candidate is organized, personable, community-oriented, and passionate about engaging our clients to make a meaningful impact.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist clients in identifying, securing, and maintaining safe, stable, and affordable housing.
  • Conduct housing assessments and develop individualized housing plans based on client needs, goals, and circumstances.
  • Coordinate housing searches, applications, interviews, and move-in processes with clients and housing providers.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with landlords, property managers, housing agencies, shelters, and community-based organizations.
  • Provide ongoing housing stabilization support, including assistance with lease compliance, landlord communication, and referrals to supportive services.
  • Assist clients with identifying employment opportunities that align with their skills, experience, interests, and career goals.
  • Provide job-readiness support, including resume development, job applications, interview preparation, and workplace expectations.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with employers, workforce development agencies, staffing organizations, and community partners to identify employment opportunities.
  • Coordinate referrals to job training, education, certification, transportation, childcare, and other supportive services that promote employment success.
  • Track client progress toward housing and employment goals and provide ongoing coaching, follow-up, and problem-solving support.
  • Advocate on behalf of clients when appropriate and assist with resolving barriers related to housing, employment, transportation, documentation, or access to community resources.
  • Maintain accurate and timely case notes, client records, service plans, referrals, and outcome documentation in accordance with organizational policies and applicable requirements.
  • Collaborate with case managers, social service providers, employers, housing providers, and other professionals to ensure coordinated services.
  • Assist clients in accessing public benefits, identification documents, housing resources, employment services, and other community resources.
  • Monitor housing and employment outcomes and prepare reports as required by the organization or funding sources.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with all applicable organizational policies, ethical standards, and privacy requirements.
  • Participate in team meetings, training, community outreach, and professional development activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support client stability, self-sufficiency, and successful community integration.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in housing services, employment services, case management, workforce development, social services, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a nonprofit, healthcare, behavioral health, or community-based organization is preferred.
  • Knowledge of nonprofit operations and community housing engagement strategies.
