The Gambling Disorder Prevention Case Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Chicago, IL. This role is responsible for providing direct support and case management services to individuals and families impacted by or at risk of gambling-related harm, with attention to refugee and immigrant communities. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting intake assessments, developing individualized prevention and support plans, coordinating referrals to counseling and social services, and maintaining accurate client records.

The case manager will deliver education and outreach on gambling disorder prevention, facilitate small groups or workshops, and collaborate with community partners, service providers, and internal team members. The role also involves tracking outcomes, preparing reports, and contributing to program improvements that enhance access, cultural responsiveness, and long-term wellbeing.

• Candidates should possess strong case management and counseling-related skills, including intake assessment, care planning, referral coordination, and ongoing client follow-up.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of gambling disorder, addiction, and mental health prevention strategies, along with the ability to provide psychoeducation and early intervention support.
• Candidates should possess skills in community outreach and engagement, including group facilitation, workshop delivery, and collaboration with local organizations and stakeholders.
• Candidates should possess effective communication and interpersonal skills, including clear documentation, active listening, and the ability to build trust with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Candidates should possess organizational and administrative skills, such as maintaining accurate records, managing schedules and caseloads, and producing reports for program monitoring and evaluation.
• Relevant experience working with refugee, immigrant, or marginalized communities is strongly preferred, with sensitivity to trauma, cultural differences, and language barriers.
• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, public health, or a related human services field is preferred; equivalent experience in case management or community-based support will be considered.
