Part-Time School Social Worker – Chicago, IL 60629

$45-$55+ per hour | Part-Time |  School Year

Pedia Staff is seeking a dedicated Part-Time School Social Worker to support students at a unique charter high school in Chicago, IL 60629 for the  school year.

This inclusive high school prepares students for post-secondary success and careers in architecture, construction, and engineering through high-quality instruction, real-world experiences, project-based learning, and comprehensive student support.

• Location: Chicago, IL 60629
• Dates: August 24, 2026 - June 11, 2027
• Schedule: Part-Time
• Pay: $45-$55+ per hour, based on experience
• Approximately 3 hours of direct student services per week
  , plus time for IEP goal development, progress monitoring, documentation, consultation, and required IEP meetings
• Setting: High School / Charter School

• Provide individual and/or small-group social work services outlined in student IEPs
• Support students' social-emotional, behavioral, and mental-health needs
• Help students develop coping, self-regulation, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills
• Develop measurable social work IEP goals and monitor student progress
• Complete progress reports, service logs, and required special education documentation
• Attend annual reviews, reevaluations, eligibility meetings, manifestation determinations, and other required IEP meetings
• Collaborate with special education teachers, administrators, counselors, psychologists, related service providers, and families
• Provide crisis intervention and assist in identifying barriers impacting student success
• Connect students and families with appropriate community resources when needed
• Support behavioral and social-emotional interventions

• Professional Educator License (PEL) with Illinois School Social Worker Endorsement required
• Experience developing measurable IEP goals
• Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, Illinois School Code, and ISBE special education requirements
