V2V is seeking a candidate to serve as Full Stack Developer on our Technology Solutions team in Chicago, IL. This job is a part-time job—roughly 32 hours per week (M-Th 8:30 – 5PM)—for three months, with the possibility for full-time work after that. The Full Stack Developer will assist the organization in providing clients with the highest quality medical communications services.

Job Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain well-scoped features in existing web applications under the guidance of senior engineers
• Assist with bug fixes, code refactoring, and routine maintenance of legacy and modern systems
• Work with front-end components (primarily Vue.js) to implement UI changes based on provided designs and specifications
• Support back-end development tasks in PHP (Laravel) by implementing endpoints, updating business logic, and writing basic database queries as directed
• Assist in the development and consumption of APIs by following established patterns and documentation
• Write clear, maintainable, and well-documented code following team standards
• Participate in code reviews to learn best practices and incorporate feedback
• Test changes locally and in staging environments to ensure functionality and basic quality
• Maintain and update documentation related to assigned tasks when required

Skill Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• 0-2 years of relevant experience in full-stack development
• Experience with back-end technologies (PHP, Python etc.)
• Familiarity with databases (RDB such as MySQL, Postgres)
• Knowledge of server and database management
• Experience with API design and development (REST, SOAP)
• Familiarity with Git, Git Hub Actions, Docker
• Familiarity with Azure Cloud is a plus
• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently or in a team environment, and effective communication, and presentation skills
