44 is looking for a Senior Software Engineer 2 to join our engineering team. You will work in a fast‑paced Agile environment designing, building, and implementing best‑in‑class integrations to accelerate how project
44 connects to the world’s logistics networks.

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise‑grade applications using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot frameworks.
• Implement event‑driven architectures leveraging Apache Kafka for real‑time data streaming and messaging.
• Develop, configure, and optimize Spring‑Kafka integrations to ensure reliable and high‑throughput message processing.
• Participate in architectural discussions, performance tuning, and scalability improvements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design RESTful APIs and integrate with other microservices.
• Ensure best practices in code quality, testing, and deployment.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems, ensuring high availability and performance.

• 6+ years professional experience building large scale real‑time cloud systems.
• Strong programming and debugging skills, with proficiency in Java.
• Strong experience in Java, Spring and Gradle, with hands‑on expertise in Spring Boot frameworks and Spring‑Kafka integration.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing event‑driven architectures using Apache Kafka.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture, REST APIs, and distributed systems.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes is a plus).
• Strong problem‑solving, debugging, and analytical skills.

This position requires a commitment to contribute to our collaborative culture by working in‑office Three days weekly.
