- This position will be responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development and maintenance of best in class software experiences.
- The candidate is a self-motivated individual who can collaborate with a team and across the organization.
- The candidate takes responsibility of the software artifacts produced adhering to U.S. Bank standards in order to ensure minimal impact to the customer experience.
- The candidate will be adept with the agile software development lifecycle and Dev Ops principles.
- Design, develop, test, operate and maintain products with full stack ownership and production-ready code.
- Consider scalability, reliability and performance when defining technical designs.
- Perform analysis on failures, propose design changes, and encourage operational improvements.
- Make sound design and coding decisions keeping customer experience in the forefront.
- Incorporate feedback from code reviews to meet standards and conduct code reviews to guide engineering best practices and compliance.
- Ensure all aspects of product development follow compliance and security best practices.
- Embed reliability engineering standards into development practices.
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
- Two to three years of relevant experience
- Familiar with mainframe tools and environments, including JCL, VSAM, DB2/SQL, batch processing, file handling, and IBM z/OS environments.
- Experience writing and optimizing SQL queries for DB2, including use of SPUFI.
- Familiarity with IBM Developer for z/OS (IDz) for editing, analyzing, debugging, and managing mainframe source code.
- Knowledge of Git Lab for version control, branching, code reviews, and CI/CD processes in mainframe Dev Ops pipelines.
- Good understanding of SDLC.
- Ability to communicate processes and results to both technical and non-technical groups.
- Effective problem solving and analytical skills.
- Be available to provide production support.
This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, 401(k) contributions and pension.
Pay Range: $86,360.00 - $
