This position will be responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development and maintenance of best-in-class software experiences. The candidate is a self-motivated individual who can collaborate with a team and across the organization, takes responsibility for software artifacts produced adhering to U.S. Bank standards to minimize impact to the customer experience, and is adept with the agile software development lifecycle and Dev Ops principles.
Responsibilities- Responsible for designing, developing, testing, operating and maintaining products
- Takes full stack ownership by consistently writing production-ready and testable code
- Creates optimal designs adhering to architectural best practices; considers scalability, reliability and performance of systems when defining technical designs
- Performs analysis on failures, proposes design changes, and encourages operational improvements
- Makes sound design and coding decisions with the customer experience in mind
- Incorporates feedback from code reviews to meet standards
- Conducts code reviews to provide guidance on engineering best practices and compliance with development procedures
- Ensures all aspects of product development follow compliance and security best practices
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
- Three to five years of relevant experience
- Expert level hands-on experience in Microservices/API development using Java/Spring Boot
- Expert level hands-on experience in React.js and its core principles
- Experience with Angular
JS is a plus - Experience in cloud-native development in Azure, AWS or GCP is preferred
- Experience in streaming technologies like Apache Kafka, Spark is preferred
- Hands-on knowledge in Spring Security, OAuth2, OpenID Connect
- Experience with RDBMS like Postgre
SQL and/or MS SQL - Experience with No
SQL databases like Cassandra, MongoDB - Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
- Experience with popular React.js workflows (e.g., Flux or Redux)
- Experience with data structure libraries (e.g., Immutable.js)
- Experience in Jenkins/Cloud Bees, Apigee, Kubernetes, Rancher
- Understanding of feature scope, affected users, flows, and feature purpose
- Adept with the agile software development lifecycle and Dev Ops principles
- Ability to communicate processes and results with engineers, product owners, scrum masters, third-party vendors, and customers
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Nice to have: experience with GenAI and AI/ML technologies
This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.
