As a Staff Software Engineer (Front-End Leaning Full Stack), you will be a key technical contributor driving the design, performance, and scalability of customer- and clinician-facing web experiences. You will partner closely with Product, Design, and Backend teams to build intuitive, accessible, and high-performing UIs that power mission-critical workflows across multiple brands. You will play a critical role in defining front-end architecture, building reusable UI systems, and elevating engineering standards across teams.
This role is ideal for a senior engineer who is deeply passionate about modern front-end development while remaining comfortable collaborating across the stack.
- Lead front-end development for large-scale web applications with a focus on usability, accessibility, and performance
- Own front-end architecture including component patterns, state management, routing, and data-fetching strategies
- Build and maintain shared UI libraries and design systems used across multiple teams
- Partner with backend engineers to define and consume RESTful and Graph
QL APIs - Drive front-end performance improvements including Core Web Vitals, bundle optimization, and caching strategies
- Establish best practices for testing, CI/CD, and code quality across front-end initiatives
- Mentor engineers and contribute to technical decision-making at the org level
- Stay current on front-end trends and introduce improvements that enhance user experience and developer velocity
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong depth in front-end development
- Expert-level experience with Type Script and React (or similar modern frameworks)
- Proven experience designing scalable front-end architecture and reusable component systems
- Strong understanding of API integration, authentication flows, and secure client-side patterns
- Experience with front-end testing frameworks (unit, integration, and end-to-end)
- Solid knowledge of web performance optimization and accessibility standards (WCAG)
- Familiarity with cloud environments and modern deployment practices
- Strong communication skills and experience collaborating cross-functionally
Skills:
- Experience with Next.js, micro-frontends, or design systems at scale
- Exposure to healthcare or regulated environments (HIPAA a plus)
- Experience incorporating AI-driven features into user-facing products
Annual Salary Range: $180,000-$197,000, with a generous benefits package that includes paid time off, health, dental, vision, and 401(k) savings plan with match.
