We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Android Developer with 8+ years of experience to design, build, and maintain high-performance mobile applications. You'll work independently on complex features, collaborate with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders, and ensure seamless, reliable user experiences through robust development and proactive issue resolution.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead Android app development using Kotlin as the primary language, delivering intuitive UIs and optimized performance for modern devices.
- Integrate mobile apps with Spring Boot microservices (JDK 11/17) via REST APIs, handling JSON/XML data with Jackson for smooth backend communication.
- Implement comprehensive testing strategies using JUnit and Mockito
, ensuring code quality through Java/J2EE practices like annotations, reflection, Lombok, and Spring MVC patterns. - Monitor app and service health using Datadog and Elasticsearch
, performing root-cause analysis,
bug fixing
, and proactive optimizations based on production logs. - Manage AWS DynamoDB integrations for efficient data storage and retrieval, optimizing for mobile-specific latency and offline scenarios.
- Drive Git Hub version control workflows (check-in/out, PRs) and CI/CD pipelines via Harness or Team City for frequent, reliable releases.
- Participate in daily scrum calls
, refine requirements with business teams, provide status updates, and take ownership to deliver projects on time while preventing production issues.
Skills & Experience:
- 8+ years in Android development with deep Kotlin expertise and Spring Boot microservices integration.
