React Manager​/Founding

We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to join a fast-growing real estate technology startup building a platform to manage recurring home care services in high‑value property markets more effectively.

This is a founding‑level Engineering Manager role — ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of hands‑on engineering, systems thinking, and people leadership. You’ll split your time roughly 50/50 between coding and leadership, helping shape both the product and the engineering organization as we scale.

• Strong experience with React, Next.js, JavaScript/Type Script
• Proven ability to balance hands‑on development with people leadership
• Experience managing distributed teams and external vendors
• Comfort operating in ambiguity and building systems from early stages
• Startup mindset: pragmatic, ownership‑driven, and execution‑focused
• Willingness to work hybrid and attend weekly in‑office sessions in Chicago

• Expand the technical landscape, including AI‑driven tools and agents
• Lead and mentor engineering teams through two supervisors
• Manage and coordinate onshore and offshore third‑party development partners
• Drive architectural decisions across multiple applications
• Collaborate closely with product, operations, and leadership
• Support CRM and service‑oriented integrations as the platform matures
