Senior Software Engineer (P3957)

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will develop full‑stack UI and API solutions that power Offsite Media—helping our partners reach customers on non‑Kroger platforms. You’ll deliver features for both internal and external clients and collaborate with a team that continuously improves our engineering practices and evaluates new technologies and approaches to support 84.51° application development. Technologies include Angular, Java/Spring Boot, and Azure.

Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of stories and drive them to completion through all phases of the entire 84.51° SDLC, including external‑facing and internal applications in the Offsite Media domain, and process improvement activities.
  • Design and build full‑stack solutions, including UI development with Angular and API development with Java/Spring Boot on Azure.
  • Write and maintain automated tests (unit and integration) and contribute to CI/CD‑quality practices.
  • Collaborate with the team through estimation, retrospectives, and peer reviews to continuously improve delivery.
  • Maintain and enhance existing applications; troubleshoot issues and drive improvements.
  • Provide support and guidance to other engineers and contribute new perspectives to technical and process decisions.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree desired) typically in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or another technically strong program.
  • Understanding of Agile Principles (Scrum).
  • 2+ years of proven professional full‑stack development experience.
  • Experience developing UI applications with Angular.
  • Experience developing APIs with Java/Spring Boot, including RESTful APIs, microservices, and OpenAPI specifications.
  • Proficiency with automated testing (unit and integration) using tools such as Jest, Cypress, and JUnit.
  • Experience building event‑driven and asynchronous systems (e.g., messaging patterns using Azure Service Bus or similar technologies).
  • Proficient with VCS (Git, SVN) and dependency management.
  • Experience with performance tuning and debugging enterprise applications.
  • Experience with Git Hub Actions and Harness for CI/CD.
  • Familiarity with Datadog or similar observability/monitoring platform.
  • Familiarity with databases (SQL and/or No

    SQL).

  • The stated salary range represents the entire span applicable across all geographic markets from lowest to highest. Actual salary offers will be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to geographic location, relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job‑related qualifications, and alignment with market data and cost of labor. In addition to salary, this position is also eligible for variable compensation.
