Senior Java Lead​/Architect

We are seeking a skilled Senior Java Lead / Architect with strong Java and Python expertise to support and enhance our data platform ecosystem. This role involves understanding and modifying existing Java microservices, building Python-based ingestion pipelines, and integrating Kafka streams into Snowflake. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working across backend systems, data pipelines, and workflow orchestration using Airflow.

• Analyze and understand existing Java-based microservices architecture
• Implement targeted enhancements and modifications to existing Java services (non-greenfield work)
• Design and develop Python-based data ingestion pipelines into Snowflake
• Configure and manage Snowflake connectors, tasks, and integrations
• Integrate Kafka streams with Snowflake for real-time and batch data ingestion
• Develop and manage workflow orchestration using Apache Airflow
• Ensure data reliability, performance optimization, and monitoring
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including backend, Dev Ops, and analytics
• Maintain code quality, documentation, and testing standards

• Java – Strong understanding of microservices architecture; ability to read, debug, and enhance existing services
• Python – Experience building data ingestion pipelines and backend services
• Snowflake – Hands-on experience with connectors, tasks, and integrations
• Kafka – Experience integrating Kafka streams with downstream systems (preferably Snowflake)
• Apache Airflow – Workflow orchestration and DAG management

• Experience in cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with containerization (Docker / Kubernetes)
• Understanding of data modeling and ETL best practices
