Sr Mobile Developer- Android

We are seeking a Senior Mobile Developer (Android) to join a collaborative and high-performing engineering team. This role is responsible for designing, building, and optimizing user-facing mobile features for a large-scale, consumer-facing application operating in a 24x7 environment.

This position reports to the Application Development Manager and plays a key role in delivering scalable, high-quality mobile experiences while providing technical leadership across engineering initiatives.

• Design and implement user-facing features for a high-traffic Android application
• Leverage Android frameworks for multithreading, data persistence, and user experience optimization
• Build scalable distributed applications, applying both synchronous and asynchronous design patterns
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best engineering practices
• Participate in code reviews, submit pull requests, and contribute to continuous integration workflows
• Lead and contribute to large-scale, cross-functional technical initiatives
• Optimize performance and efficiency to ensure a seamless user experience
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering teams
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to other developers
• Work within Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)

• BA/BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience)
• 5+ years of software development experience
• 5+ years of experience programming in Kotlin and/or Java
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design

• Deep expertise in Android development (iOS experience is a plus)
• Experience building infrastructure and web services at scale
• Experience working with REST APIs
• Knowledge of MVP/MVVM architecture patterns
• Familiarity with UI and animation frameworks and touch-based user interfaces
• Experience building applications that operate in 24x7 production environments
• Proficiency with Git, Git Lab, CI/CD pipelines, and unit testing frameworks (JUnit, etc.)
• Experience contributing to applications published in the Google Play Store
