SQL AWS AI/ML Kubernetes/Docker/ECS Kafka Engineers in Chicago, IL. This is an opportunity for full-time employment with client.

• Executes standard software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting
• Writes secure and high-quality code using the syntax of at least one programming language with limited guidance
• Designs, develops, codes, and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implications
• Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to improve the value realized by automation
• Applies technical troubleshooting to break down solutions and solve technical problems of basic complexity
• Gathers, analyzes, and draws conclusions from large, diverse data sets to identify problems and contribute to decision-making in service of secure, stable application development
• Learns and applies system processes, methodologies, and skills for the development of secure, stable code and systems
• Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience - mandatory
• Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages - Core Java, Spring Boot, REST API
• Understanding of Java Design patterns and experience on implementing it in application development
• Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Experience writing test cases using testing tools like JUnit
• Experience using code versioning tools, such as Git, Bitbucket
• Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD)
• Understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency

• Exposure to AI - using python, AI, Copilot in VScode/Intellij
• Knowledge of Containerization and Container Runtime/Orchestration platforms (Docker/Kubernetes/ECS, etc.)
• Knowledge of messaging - Kafka
• Knowledge of Relational/No
  
  SQL databases

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is not eligible for bonuses, incentives or commissions.
