Senior Mobile Engineer

Hybrid – Chicago, IL (1–2 days per week onsite)

Kunai is hiring a Senior Mobile Engineer for their client's retail partners team.

This role is ideal for a highly skilled mobile engineer who thrives in cross-platform environments and can bridge expertise across iOS, Android, and Web development.

Design, develop, and maintain iOS mobile applications using Swift, Swift

UI, and UIKit.

Build SDKs to facilitate iFrame and Web View integrations for partner websites and apps.

Collaborate with product and design teams to ensure a seamless, non-disruptive customer experience.

Contribute to Android development with Kotlin/Java.

Leverage AWS cloud services to ensure secure, scalable, and efficient solutions.

Participate in code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to best practices in mobile engineering.

5+ years of mobile development experience with a focus on iOS.

Proficiency in Swift, Swift

UI, and UIKit.

Strong understanding of SDK design and secure communication patterns in mobile apps.

Experience integrating mobile solutions into broader partner or enterprise ecosystems.

Experience with Android development (Kotlin, Java).

Familiarity with AWS cloud services.

Prior experience in financial services, fintech, or similarly regulated industries.
