About the RoleWe're looking for a Senior Software Engineering Manager (Android Architecture) to lead the design, development, and evolution of a cutting‑edge Android platform powering next‑generation connected systems.
This is a hands‑on technical leadership role where you'll shape architecture, guide global engineering teams, and influence the future of scalable Android‑based platforms built on AOSP.
What you'll be doing- Lead the architecture of Android‑based platform services and SDKs
- Define scalable, modular, and future‑proof system design patterns
- Drive development across Kotlin, Java, C/C++, and Python
- Collaborate with global engineering, product, UX, and hardware teams
- Guide CI/CD, automation, and engineering best practices
- Ensure security, privacy, and performance standards are met
- Stay hands‑on with code, reviews, and technical problem solving
- Lead a distributed engineering team and grow technical talent
- 10+ years in software engineering/architecture roles
- Strong Android / AOSP / Android SDK experience
- Proven experience leading engineering teams
- Embedded systems / IoT / connected device exposure (nice to have)
- Strong system design and architectural thinking
- Ability to operate in complex, global environments
