Software Engineer, Python

We have been retained by a well-established global trading firm in Chicago that generates $2.5B yearly in gross revenue & is looking for a Software Engineer to join its research team. On-site obligation is 2-3 days a week and relocation packages are included.

Client is willing to wait 12-18 months for a non‑compete.

• Assist in the implementation of quantitative strategies.
• Build and implement data pipelines.
• Develop trading infrastructure in C++ & Python.
• Support the quant team with tooling and simulation.
• Act as the go‑between between Quant, Data and Infra teams.

• BS in Comp Sci/Maths or similarly related field.
• Experience working closely with a quant team (or on it) & simulation.
• Familiar with Python and/or C++.
• Experience working at a trading firm (recently hired from Akuna, Wolverine and Cit Sec).
• Familiar with pipelines.

• Previous experience in greenfield development / building out something from scratch (startup / new product 0‑1).
• MSCS or similarly related field.
• Familiar with presenting to stakeholders.
• Leadership experience.

Our client is looking at $525,000‑875,000 total compensation. This is broken into a base with a guaranteed bonus Y1. Potential sign‑on in addition is $50,000‑120,000.
