Apex Fintech Solutions is looking for a Software Engineering Intern to join the high‑volume, high‑availability trade clearing suite. The role focuses on developing the Margins system, a critical part of the Apex Ascend platform.

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software.
• Learn from and apply design techniques and coding standards coached by our Senior Engineers.
• Build resilient, self‑scaling, self‑healing services that allow you to sleep through the night.
• Support the production systems you build, including build, deployment (CI/CD), and monitoring (Grafana, Prometheus, Pager Duty).
• Write high‑quality, well‑tested code and maintain high code‑quality standards via code reviews.

• A highly collaborative environment focused on outcomes that build momentum for Apex.

• End‑to‑end ownership of deployments, from documentation to service‑level objectives, with your team ultimately responsible for product health.

• Currently pursuing a BA, BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technology field.
• Experience with SQL and Java.
• 0–2+ years of experience as a software developer or similar role.
• Ability to learn new technologies, languages, tools, and frameworks quickly.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Financial services background is a plus.

• Passion for software engineering demonstrated by internships, work experience, projects, or publications.
• Familiarity with common design patterns.
• Interest in backend or full‑stack software development.
• Knowledge or strong interest in financial markets.
