• Modify QGround
  
  Control (QGC) to implement new features and custom implementations
• Design and develop various ground control station (GCS)
• Create rapid prototypes and proof‑of‑concepts to validate new features and functionality
• Work with emerging hardware (radios, IP‑rated ground control systems, etc.)
• Implement GUI elements and user interfaces for control systems using modern frameworks
• Optimize system performance and troubleshoot technical issues in real‑time applications
• Participate in code reviews and maintain high‑quality software development standards
• Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
• Support testing and validation of control systems in various operational scenarios

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• Proficiency in C++ and Python programming languages
• Experience developing GUI applications and user interface components
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Demonstrated ability to work quickly and deliver results in fast‑paced environments
• Can‑do attitude with willingness to tackle challenging technical problems
• Must be located in or willing to relocate to Chicago, IL

• Experience with Qt framework for cross‑platform application development
• Knowledge of GStreamer multimedia framework
• Familiarity with MAVLink protocol and drone/UAV systems
• Experience with real‑time systems and embedded software development
• Background in aerospace, robotics, or unmanned systems
• Previous experience with rapid prototyping and agile development methodologies
