Java Developer III

The Java Developer III will support backend development initiatives focused on Spring Boot microservices within a baggage platform development environment. This role requires a hands‑on developer with strong expertise in Java, cloud‑native application development, event‑driven architecture, and AWS technologies

The ideal candidate will be a self-driven professional capable of collaborating with architecture, product, and functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing enterprise solutions in an Agile development environment.

• Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain enterprise software applications and backend systems
• Build and support cloud-native applications using Spring Boot microservices, AWS technologies, and the Solace eventing platform
• Collaborate with architecture, product management, and cross-functional teams to deliver secure and scalable solutions
• Participate in architecture and design discussions while ensuring adherence to coding standards and development best practices
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices-based applications
• Work within Agile development environments with a focus on continuous integration and continuous delivery
• Analyze, refactor, and optimize existing code for scalability, maintainability, and performance improvements
• Estimate development efforts and contribute to release planning and delivery schedules
• Support troubleshooting, issue resolution, and production support activities
• Contribute to Dev Ops and CI/CD pipeline implementation and optimization efforts
• Ensure application security and support vulnerability management initiatives

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Java Developer
• Minimum 2 years of experience developing and maintaining event‑driven applications
• Strong hands‑on experience with:
• Java
• Spring Boot
• Experience working with the Solace eventing platform
• Proficiency with AWS technologies
• Strong understanding of:
• Software engineering principles
• Hands‑on experience with Dev Ops practices and CI/CD tools such as:
• Jenkins
• Git Hub Actions
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in Agile teams
• Strong communication and coordination skills

• Previous experience in the airline industry
• Experience with Veracode and WIZ
• Familiarity with vulnerability management and secure coding practices
• Experience using tools such as Sonar Qube
• Self‑starter mindset with the ability to proactively identify and resolve technical issues
