Senior Java Engineer – Cloud-Native API Platform

For more information, visit  are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Engineering team working on IAS’s core Signal 3 Platform—the foundation of our B2B offerings that powers products and partner integrations across the digital ecosystem. This team is revamping our core architecture, building modern, scalable API backend services, and driving our evolution toward cloud-native applications.

What you'll get to do:

Design, build, and maintain Java-based applications and RESTful APIs that power IAS’s core Signal platform — including UI integration where needed to support new capabilities

Scale applications and architectures to handle billions of transactions and records efficiently and reliably

Lead the entire software lifecycle — from design and hands-on coding to testing, deployment, and observability

Build and deploy cloud-native applications leveraging AWS (or equivalent cloud platforms like GCP/Azure)
Collaborate closely with product and data teams to embed new capabilities and signal intelligence into our applications

Work on backend systems and, optionally, data pipelines (Python experience a plus)
You should apply if you have most of this:5+ years of hands-on Java development experience

Strong experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot Solid understanding of cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and how to design, deploy, and operate scalable cloud-based applications

Knowledge of core AWS services (S3, Dynamo

DB, Lambda, EKS) or equivalent GCP/Azure components

Strong grasp of designing for performance, scalability, reliability, and observability

Exposure to frontend technologies (e.g., React) for UI integration or collaboration with UI engineering teams

Experience building API backend services and integrating with distributed systems

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Bonus points:

Experience with Python, especially for data pipelines or automation

Familiarity with Databricks, Spark, or Delta tables

Knowledge of SQL and database fundamentals

Experience with messaging or streaming frameworks (Kinesis, Kafka, SQS, etc.)Understanding of Linux command line tools and Dev Ops concepts

IAS Pay Transparency:

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location, and any additional locations are listed below. Our pay ranges are based on the work location. As part of IAS compensation package, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid time off, health insurance (medical, dental, vision) as well as PPO, HSA and FSA options and 401k with employer matching contributions.

All full-time employee roles include competitive compensation and are eligible for an annual bonus and/or other incentive plans. Each candidate’s compensation package is based on multiple factors, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need.
