Java Software Engineer

Overview

We’re partnered with a leading financial services organization that is hiring for a Senior Java Backend Engineer to support a highly sophisticated financial technology environment responsible for large-scale, real-time transaction processing and enterprise trading applications.

This is an opportunity to work within a fast-paced engineering organization building and supporting mission-critical backend systems where performance, scalability, multithreading, and reliability are essential. The applications are complex, high-volume, and deeply integrated across distributed enterprise platforms within the financial markets domain.

• Develop and maintain production-ready backend services in Java.
• Ensure performance, scalability, multithreading, and reliability in high-volume systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate distributed enterprise platforms in the financial markets domain.
• Contribute to automated testing and quality assurance processes for backend systems.

• Strong Core Java backend development experience
• Deep understanding of multithreading/concurrency
• Experience building production-ready enterprise applications
• Automation testing experience with Cucumber
• CI/CD experience using Jenkins and/or Ansible
• Experience with system integration and automated testing frameworks
• Google Cloud exposure is a plus

• Location:
  
  Hybrid in Chicago (2 days onsite weekly)
• Duration: 6-Month Contract with potential extension
