Android Engineer (Platform / Native Development) Overview
A growing technology organization is seeking an Android Engineer to develop and optimize high-performance mobile applications. This role focuses on native Android development with an emphasis on deep platform expertise, performance optimization, and secure content delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin and Java
- Optimize application performance across device types and OS versions
- Implement secure content delivery solutions, including DRM protocols
- Debug and resolve complex technical issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new features
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices
- Strong experience developing native Android applications
- Proficiency in Kotlin and Java
- Deep understanding of Android architecture and system components
- Experience with performance optimization and debugging
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience with video streaming and DRM technologies
- Experience optimizing UI rendering and performance
- Familiarity with cloud integrations (e.g., AWS)
- Knowledge of security best practices for mobile applications
- Base Salary: $140,000-$160,000 (based on experience)
