Senior Software Engineer - US Risk Technology - Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance microservice applications supporting US risk analytics and reporting.
• Collaborate with product owners, data scientists, and risk analysts to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments using Docker and AWS services.
• Ensure code quality, reliability, and security through automated testing, code reviews, and adherence to best practices.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance, including Kafka streaming pipelines and database interactions.

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, primarily with Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong understanding of microservice architecture, RESTful APIs, and event‑driven messaging (Kafka).
• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS), containerization (Docker), and CI/CD tooling.
• Proficiency in relational databases and SQL; familiarity with performance tuning.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in an Agile environment.
