UI Developer

Job Description

Trigyn’s direct client has a contract assignment for a UI Developer in Chicago, IL. The client is looking for a highly motivated UI engineer who is interested in working with web interfaces. In this role you will lead, design, and implement UI components of web applications, integrate them with back‑end APIs, and collaborate with other engineers to solve business and technology problems.

You will also build the Analytics Dashboard on the client portal.

• Write clean, solid code, identify design and coding problems, and bring in technology innovation to existing systems when needed.
• Capture and implement technical requirements such as test harnesses, logging, and operational facilitation.
• Define development and test environments, including build, configuration, and deployment.
• Support urgent live‑site operations as needed.
• Facilitate design review, code review, test review, and operational procedure review meetings.
• Write scalable code and unit tests for the Continuous Delivery pipeline.

• Strong knowledge of Java, JSP, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, AJAX, Handlebar/Backbone/Angular.js/ReactJS, and experience with MVC or component‑based UI frameworks such as Spring MVC.
• Knowledge of software UI design principles and a passion for developing great user experiences.
• Experience working with A/B or multivariate experimentation.
• Experience building UI applications that support multiple browsers and versions.
• Knowledge of current trends and best practices in front‑end architecture, including performance, accessibility, and usability.
• Experience in test automation, diagnostics automation, and performance engineering practices, tools, and techniques.
• Experience creating or integrating web applications with APIs.
• BS or MS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent demonstrable hands‑on experience.

• 5+ years of relevant working experience building and maintaining high‑performance, distributed, and scalable web platforms.
