Software Development Engineer – II

Responsibilities

• Participate in a cross-­shore development team
• Review Pull requests and provide feedback to developers
• Owns and works with dev team on deliverables
• Control and improve the code quality in the team
• Implement culture of learning in the team
• Influence and collaborate to create amazing APIs
• Participate in Agile scrums with cross-functional teams
• Participate and contribute in Agile sprints including planning, daily standups, backlog grooming sessions and reviews
• Analyze production defects, troubleshoot systems, identify root cause and implement fixes
• Work with third-party vendors to develop software and/or integrate their software into our products
• Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related degree with 3 years modern application development experience (classroom or professional)
• Experience with cloud native application development using Java (5 years)
• Ability and flexibility to travel for business as required
• Familiarity building and consuming web services via SOAP and REST
• Java development experience
• Familiarity with common Java frameworks like Spring and Spring boot
• Familiarity with Jira and Bitbucket
• Familiarity with continuous integration environments
• Familiarity writing unit and integration tests
• Familiarity with JSON, REST and XML based web services
