Sr. Full Stack Engineer - Waltz Health

Waltz Health is looking for a skilled Sr. Full Stack Engineer to drive the architecture, development, and delivery of web, back-end, data, and cloud applications across the marketplace platform. This role will work closely with technology, product management, architecture, and business leaders to define requirements, maintain a continuous roadmap, and deliver scalable healthcare technology solutions. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on engineering experience, curiosity, and a start-up mindset, with the ability to lead application development, mentor engineers, and support production applications through L2 issue resolution.

Essential duties and responsibilities include developing and enhancing full stack applications supporting Waltz Health marketplace and cash card products, collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver technology solutions aligned with business priorities, designing and building scalable, secure, cloud-based applications on Microsoft Azure, providing L2 production support, contributing to engineering best practices, designing and implementing API integrations, microservices, and reusable services, participating in technical design discussions and code reviews, demonstrating a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and all other duties as assigned.

The job requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent combination of technical education and professional experience, 6-8 years of professional software engineering experience, strong hands-on experience building scalable, secure applications on Microsoft Azure, comfortable working in Agile and Dev Ops environments, ability to provide L2 support, troubleshoot production issues, and strong communication skills.

Preferred qualifications include a master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technology field, experience in healthcare technology, pharmacy, marketplace platforms, or fast-moving start-up environments, Microsoft Azure, Dev Ops, Kubernetes, or related technical certifications, experience with CSS3, HTML5, design systems, accessibility, theming, reusable components, and modern front-end engineering practices, experience with Azure Data Factory, dbt, Talend, or similar data ingestion and ETL/ELT tools, deep SQL knowledge and experience with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, exposure to AI/ML frameworks or cloud-based AI services such as Azure Cognitive Services, Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, or Tensor Flow, and a technology-agnostic mindset with the ability to select the right tool for the problem and balance build-versus-buy decisions.
