Service Now Developer

The Service Now Developer is responsible for designing, developing, configuring, and supporting Service Now platform capabilities with a strong focus on Azure cloud integrations. This role delivers scalable, secure, and automation-driven solutions across ITSM, Service Catalog, custom applications, and cloud monitoring by integrating Service Now with Microsoft Azure services.

Key Responsibilities – Service Now Development

• Design, develop, configure, and customize Service Now applications including ITSM, Service Catalog, workflows, Flow Designer, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, and notifications

• Build and maintain custom scoped applications using the Service Now App Engine

• Develop and enhance Service Catalog items, request workflows, approvals, and fulfillment processes

• Perform unit testing, support UAT, and assist with production deployments

• Troubleshoot and resolve defects, performance issues, and configuration gaps

• Ensure adherence to Service Now best practices, coding standards, security, and governance

• Maintain technical documentation for configurations, integrations, and customizations

• Support platform upgrades, patching, and release impact analysis

Key Responsibilities – Azure Integration

• Design, develop, and support integrations between Service Now and Microsoft Azure using REST APIs, Webhooks, and Integration Hub.

• Integrate Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Azure Alerts with Service Now ITOM / Event Management

• Configure MID Server-based secure connectivity where required

• Integrate Azure Active Directory (Entra ) for user, group, and role-based access workflows

• Develop automation workflows for Azure resource lifecycle management (intake, provisioning, change, decommission)

• Support cloud governance workflows across Azure subscriptions, resource groups, RBAC, and policies

• Troubleshoot Azure integration failures and ensure secure authentication and authorization
