Job Summary
Our client, a leading financial services provider, is seeking a Service Now IRM Solution Architect to join their team. The role is a long‑term contract opportunity expected to continue well into 2027 with potential conversion to a full‑time position. It is based in Chicago, IL and follows a hybrid work model with three onsite days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).
Responsibilities- Design and architect solutions within the Service Now IRM platform, focusing on Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) capabilities.
- Translate business and regulatory requirements into scalable technical architecture.
- Recommend out‑of‑the‑box Service Now capabilities before pursuing customization.
- Provide architectural guidance and technical oversight to global engineering teams, including hands‑on support during implementations when needed.
- Collaborate with senior engineering and business‑facing stakeholders across North America and APAC.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, stand‑ups, and team discussions.
- Resolve technical problems as they arise and keep stakeholders informed of solution progress and risks.
- Strong hands‑on experience with Service Now IRM (Integrated Risk Management).
- Solid background in Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) and risk/compliance management.
- Proven solution architecture experience, with the ability to also function as a senior engineer.
- Experience implementing Service Now IRM in large enterprise environments.
- Experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries.
- Track record of recommending out‑of‑the‑box Service Now solutions over unnecessary customization.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Exposure to Snowflake integrations.
- Exposure to Data Mesh architectures.
- Experience supporting regulatory‑driven compliance programs.
- Large banking or financial institution experience.
- Experience providing architectural leadership for globally distributed engineering teams (onshore/offshore models).
- Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and on‑time delivery.
- Proactive engagement in team discussions and Agile ceremonies.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to operate at both a strategic (architecture) and tactical (hands‑on engineering) level.
- Effective communicator with both technical and business audiences.
Location:
Chicago, IL
Hybrid: 3 days onsite per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday), 8:00am – 5:00pm CST
Pay Range: approximately $80.00 – $86.00 per hour (estimates; final compensation may vary based on background, knowledge, skills, and location).
Hours:
Monday–Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm CST.
