Software Engineer, Full Stack Developer, AI Engineer (Applied​/Software)

Lincolnshire, IL (Greater Chicago) – onsite 4 days per week

1 year contract – W2 only, No C2C

CDW is seeking an AI Platform Engineer to help build and scale next-generation AI-powered applications and development platforms. This role is ideal for a strong Full Stack Engineer with hands-on Kubernetes experience and a passion for leveraging modern AI coding tools such as Claude, Cursor, Git Hub Copilot, Gemini, and OpenAI to accelerate software delivery.

• Design, develop, and deploy full-stack applications in cloud-native environments.
• Build and support AI-driven applications, agentic workflows, and AI development pipelines.
• Deploy and manage applications on Kubernetes (AKS preferred).
• Partner with engineering teams to review, remediate, and product ionize AI-generated code.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and platform reliability.
• Implement secure authentication, authorization, and application security best practices.
• Identify and resolve issues related to AI-generated code quality, testing, and scalability.

• 5+ years of full-stack software development experience.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native application deployment.
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and Dev Ops practices.
• Experience using AI development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Git Hub Copilot, Gemini, or OpenAI in a professional environment.
• Understanding of application security, automated testing, and production readiness.

• Experience building AI agents or agentic workflows.
• Experience with Azure, AKS, service mesh technologies, or API gateways.
• Knowledge of MCP servers, LLM integrations, or AI platform architecture.
• Experience with observability and monitoring platforms.
