Data Engineering
Automate a currently manual, Excel-based monthly data process (data extraction, reference-data lookups, and file generation) that today relies on manual CSV exports, spreadsheet formulas, and manual file distribution.
Required technical profile:- Python (building the data pipeline/ETL logic, replicating spreadsheet lookup and matching logic, and generating output files programmatically)
- SQL(comfortable writing and adapting queries against a cloud data warehouse)
- Google Big Query(direct experience querying and scheduling extracts from BQ)
- Power BI(building/connecting live reports to replace static Excel outputs)
Familiarity with legacy Excel / VBA processes, since part of the work involves understanding and replacing existing macro-driven logic
Resource: A mid-level data engineer (C1) comfortable working independently across the full stack above (rather than a narrow specialist in just one tool) is likely the best fit.
Duration/urgency:
Immediate, Chicagoland resident will be ideal, but anywhere in US who can do a short-term travel will work
The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $41.61/hour - $65.01/hour.
