Software Engineer Technical Lead; Merryfield

• Write thoughtful & quality code that is readable, testable, and easily maintainable
• Create data‑driven and stable APIs for our mobile apps to consume
• Strive for excellent development practices and careful code architecture that is built around rapid releases
• Work cross‑functionally with all mobile and backend engineers, and product teams to consistently release high‑quality, customer‑focused features
• Adhere to, and improve upon, our agile process through requirement documents, sprint retrospectives, and other regular cadence meetings

Experience with Microservice or Service-oriented Architectures

Experience with working with relational databases6+ years of experience building backend services with 2+ of those years in a technical leadership capacity (mentoring junior engineers, scoping technical projects, etc.)Experience with message queues or event streams

Experience using gRPC, protobuf, or GraphQLExperience proactively working with modern AI‑enhanced development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, etc.) and a curiosity for emerging AI workflows

Experience building within the Node.js ecosystem

Experience in the financial and rewards tech industry is a plus Experience managing AWS environments (GCP is a plus)
