Allstate seeks a Lead Software Engineer to drive delivery of innovative financial and insurance solutions that protect millions of customers. In a collaborative, performance-driven culture, you will design and build scalable, secure systems powering digital policy, claims, and financial services. You'll lead engineers, guide architecture decisions, and champion quality, reliability, and cloud-native practices. Partnering with product, data, and business teams, you'll shape technical roadmaps, improve engineering standards, and support resilient platforms that make communities safer and more resilient.
Responsibilities
- Design and architect scalable, secure financial software solutions for insurance products and services
- Lead a team of engineers through planning, coding, code reviews, and mentoring
- Collaborate with product, data, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical roadmaps
- Ensure code quality, reliability, and performance through testing, automation, and best practices
- Integrate with cloud platforms, APIs, and data systems supporting digital insurance experiences
- Champion secure coding, regulatory compliance, and data privacy within financial applications
- Drive continuous improvement in engineering practices, tooling, and delivery pipelines
- Support production systems, troubleshoot complex issues, and guide incident resolution
