Codal is searching for a hands-on Engineering Tech Lead to perform various architectural tasks and provide technical leadership. You’ll lead a squad of engineers through the complexities of modern backend development, and ensure that our frontend experiences are supported by high-performance APIs, secure data modeling, and optimized cloud infrastructure. Your "superpower" should be building robust, scalable server-side environments that power high-traffic enterprise applications.

To ensure success, you should have extensive experience with designing architectures and web applications, ensuring the team delivers robust, scalable and secure solutions. This role involves hands-on coding along with a team of 4-5 engineers, maintaining high quality and standards across the full stack to deliver high-performance technologies.

Who You’ll Be Working With:
You’ll work as an Engineering Tech Lead alongside client stakeholders, project managers, designers and engineering teams to guide projects from early discovery through delivery. You’ll be a key technical point of contact, helping clients and internal teams align on approach and execution while ensuring solutions are practical, scalable, and well-built.

What you bring:

  • Deep expertise in technologies including Node.js, React, JavaScript/Type Script, Python, and modern frontend & CMS frameworks
  • Technical design architecture for implementing complex web applications and scalable backend systems.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/Azure/GCP, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Expertise in software architecture, database systems ( Big Query/SQL/No

    SQL ), and cloud-native applications.
  • Demonstrated ability in delivery, scalability, and solving complex technical challenges.
  • High standards of code quality, performance, and security across all project deliverables.
  • Code reviews to find slow code and vulnerabilities
  • Mentorship: technical guidance to team members to ensure best practices.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and Agile methodology skills.

What is required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
