What You'll Work On

• Develop and enhance components of a high-performance trading platform
• Build systems for data analysis, algorithm development, and execution infrastructure
• Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reliable C++ applications in a Linux environment
• Collaborate closely with engineers and traders to solve complex technical problems

• 4+ years of software engineering experience using C++ or similar language
• At least 3 years of experience working with C++ and Linux/Unix environments strongly preferred
• Strong computer science fundamentals
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field (particularly important for candidates with under 5 years of experience)
• Financial industry experience is helpful but not required

• Engineers who can clearly articulate the impact they've had on projects, teams, and business outcomes
• Candidates with hands-on experience building production systems rather than solely working within large-scale consumer tech environments
• Individuals who are curious, collaborative, and motivated by solving challenging technical problems in a fast-paced environment
• Chicago-based role with a 5-day in-office schedule
• Candidates should be local or have strong ties to the Chicago area
