Senior Full Stack Software Engineer
Remote (Central or Eastern time zone) | Long term contract
We are hiring a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to build and modernize external, user-facing applications on AWS. The work spans new product development and the redesign of legacy systems into modern React and Node applications on serverless infrastructure. Teams here operate in a poly-skilled way, so core feature development sits alongside automation work and ongoing improvements to the frameworks the team tests against.
This role fits an engineer who can operate with minimal guidance, communicate clearly in a remote setting, and start contributing early.
What you will do- Design, develop, and ship full-stack features across React front ends and Node.js services
- Build serverless solutions on AWS that support data quality, process automation, and data integrity at scale
- Own complex development work and manage defined sections of ongoing projects against firm deadlines
- Create design specifications, unit tests, and technical documentation
- Build and monitor microservices, applying distributed design patterns where they fit
- Improve automation and testing frameworks alongside feature delivery
- Work directly with cross-team partners and internal customers, keeping those relationships professional and predictable
- Minimum 7 years of professional software development experience
- Strong hands-on JavaScript (ES6)
- Strong hands-on Node.js development, meaning real coding depth rather than package management alone
- Strong hands-on React.js
- Deep working knowledge of AWS serverless architecture:
Lambda, S3, SNS/SQS, Kinesis, RDS, and DynamoDB - Experience with both relational and No
SQL databases - Experience designing, building, and monitoring microservices
- Hands-on CI/CD experience with Jenkins or AWS Code Pipeline
- Strong unit testing discipline plus automated API integration testing
- Working experience with automated device and browser testing
- Strong fundamentals in object-oriented design and core computer science principles
- Knowledge of systems analysis and design (OOAD, UML) and database design
- Solid grasp of SDLC and modern software engineering practices
- Ability to code alongside agentic AI tools as part of your normal workflow
- Event-driven architecture and stream processing patterns
- Hands-on use of agentic AI or LLM-based tooling (Claude, Copilot, Lang Chain, or similar) for development acceleration and automation
- Infrastructure as code (AWS Cloud Formation, CDK, or similar)
- Fluency with KMS, ALB/ELB, Route 53, and VPC
- Git Hub-based CI/CD workflows
- Background in high-frequency data monitoring or tooling
- Agile and Scrum experience with a collaborative, team-first approach
- Exposure to Java or Python as an addition to strong React and Node depth
- Relevant AWS or professional certifications
