Group Exercise Instructor

Overview

EBC is considered the gold standard in the industry, with state-of-the-art equipment, extensive programming, a wide array of amenities, and excellent and highly qualified staff. Located in Chicago's River North neighborhood, the East Bank Club has set the standard for first-class hospitality and excellence in the fitness industry, a standard exemplified by each employee.

Permanent classes: $57.50 per hour.
Substituted classes: $50.00 per hour.

• Lead various classes for members, explain and promote programs
• Follow a class format to include warm-up, workout and cool-down
• Arrive before class starts to set up and assist members
• Communicate professionally and courteously with our members, welcome everyone while promoting inclusivity
• Develop positive relationships with all members
• Be able to guide members during classes and assist with equipment
• Educate participants on correct form and alternative moves during the fitness routine
• Hold conversations with members before and after classes, welcome feedback as necessary
• Responsible for managing the room and the members with regards to set up and break down
• Display a passion for fitness and group classes

• Minimum of 2 years Group Exercise experience
• Must hold Nationally Recognized Primary Group Exercise Certification (or equivalent)
• Ideally hold specialty certifications in a minimum of 2 disciplines
• Ability to execute class formats with proper form and full range of motion demonstrating excellent technique at all times
• Ability to physically execute the entire class without breaks if necessary
