* ** Hockey Coordinator
** Legends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has an excellent and immediate opening for a Hockey Instructor at the Morgan Park Sports Center. The Hockey Instructor is responsible for assisting and/or running beginner and intermediate hockey classes at Morgan Park Sports Center.
** ESSENTIAL DUTIES
** Include the following - other duties may be assigned.
* Assist and/or lead hockey lessons and be able to teach basic skating or hockey skills at the discretion of the hockey coordinator.
* Monitor proper use of equipment.
* Assist in the planning and organization of the lessons.
* Provide patrons with the proper techniques needed to succeed in the development of their hockey skills.
* Provide a safe and fun environment that promotes enjoying the sport for exercise and fun.
** SKILLS REQUIRED
** Position requires ability to:
* Plan and lead on-ice practices sessions for the intro to hockey program.
* Develop and implement development plans for players across various age groups.
* Collaborate with team coaches to provide in-game and practice support.
* Support development during team practices, skills sessions, and clinics.
* Maintain a professional, enthusiastic, and inclusive environment on and off the ice.
* Communicate with parents on progression, and scheduling.
* Complete other tasks and duties as assigned.
** QUALIFICATIONS
* ** Prior experience as a hockey player or coach.
* Strong understanding of fundamentals, techniques, and current training trends.
* USA Hockey coaching certification (or willingness to obtain).
* Ability to communicate effectively with players, parents, and staff.
* Must pass a background check and adhere to all Safe Sport guidelines.

* Hours:

** This position requires the ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays. Able to work specifically on weekday evenings and weekends.
** HOURLY RATE:**  $18.50
