Personal Trainer & Group Fitness Instructor (Part-time)
Employment Status: Part-Time or By Appointment
Location: Chicago, IL (Garfield Ridge)
Schedule: Flexible. Create your own schedule based on appointments and class bookings. Must operate within business hours:
- Weekdays: 5:00 AM – 10:00 PM
- Weekends: 6:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Pay: $20-$60+ per hour

Position OverviewVaunt Fitness is seeking a motivated, knowledgeable, and energetic fitness professional to serve as both a Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor. This role is ideal for a well‑rounded coach who thrives in both one‑on‑one and group settings, values strong member relationships, and is passionate about helping individuals improve their health through safe, effective training.
The ideal candidate brings a professional presence, strong communication skills, and the ability to create engaging, results‑driven experiences for members of all fitness levels.
Key Responsibilities Personal Training- Conduct comprehensive fitness and movement assessments
- Design and implement individualized training programs and protocols
- Schedule and manage personal training appointments
- Demonstrate exercises with proper form and technique
- Monitor client progress and adjust programming accordingly
- Build strong, long‑term relationships with clients
- Answer general questions regarding memberships, services, and equipment
- Respond to member emails and phone inquiries
- Lead a variety of group fitness classes (Hybrid training, Lift classes, full body, and cardio)
- Tailor classes to accommodate varying ages, fitness levels, and health considerations
- Demonstrate proper technique and provide hands‑on guidance when appropriate
- Monitor safety and ensure correct equipment usage
- Foster an inclusive, motivating, and supportive class environment
- Promote healthy lifestyle habits through fitness and foundational nutrition principles
- Degree in an exercise‑related field (preferred for Personal Training)
- Nationally accredited Personal Training certification (NASM, NSCA, ACE, ACSM, or equivalent)
- Group Fitness Instructor certification
- CPR/AED certification
- Specialty certifications welcomed (cycling, corrective exercise, strength & conditioning, etc.)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport and create positive member experiences
- Professional, reliable, and self‑motivated
- Strong leadership presence in both private and group settings
- Passion for health, fitness, and member success
- Commitment to delivering high‑quality coaching and safe instruction
